A Gallery Visitby Sarah Peguine | 07.09.15
If Tel aviv’s hot summer makes you want to look for some fine art flavored with air conditioning, head to Dvir Gallery where you will find works by leading artists both from Israel and abroad.
Since opening its doors in 1982, Dvir Gallery has become one of the most important and respected art galleries in Israel. It represents young Israeli artists such as Dor Guez, Ariel Schlesinger and Naama Tsabar, as well as established Israeli artists like Etti Abergl, Yudith Levin and Yossi Breger. In the gallery’s international department, you can find leading international artists such as Adel Abdessemed, Mircea Cantor, Douglas Gordon, Latifa Echakhch and Shilpa Gupta.

The list of artists in the gallery’s roster is long and of high quality. This, combined with the fact that they are participating every year in leading art fairs such as Art Basel and FIAC in Paris, makes the gallery an important player both locally and internationally.

After years in the northern side of the city and Jaffa, on 2013, Dvir Gallery moved to the up-and-coming south area of Tel Aviv, considered to be the main artistic hub of the city, with many galleries and artists working there.
The new venue, a beautiful industrial building from the 70s, spreads over three large exhibition spaces (ideal for showing art in all media) and a room dedicated to video art, which will make your visit an unforgettable and striking experience.
